FAQ

  • Do I need to be a member to attend services?
No, visitors are welcome. Even during the high holidays, we are very accomodating, and do not operate by selling seats with tickets.
  • Before I visit, what can I expect?
We are a religious Synagogue, with modesty in mind for seating. While it's nice to dress formal, we are flexible and put Kavanah first and dress code secondary. We have our Kiddush after Mussaf each week in our Library, encouraging socializing (& reading!)
  • Life-Cycle happenings?
At Magen David, in addition to gathering for prayers (in our main sanctuary), you can celebrate Life cycle events in our Synogauge. Be it a new baby, Bar / Bat Mitzvot, Shabat Hattan, Henna Party, or other happenings with room for Collations.
  • What is available for Kids @ Magen David?
We have a Teen Lounge (designed & built by our own teenagers) with a Ping Pong Table, Pool Table, Fooseball Table, and Knock Hockey. We also have another room for younger kids with educational toys, books, etc.
